Hi! I’m Amy, and I’m so glad you’re here!
A little about me and how Wright Photography began: My husband, Steven, and I founded our business in the fall of 2013, inspired by a deeply personal experience. After welcoming our first son and watching him grow during that magical first year, we wanted to capture every fleeting moment. We hired a photographer — and I instantly fell in love with the process. That same year, on Black Friday 2012, I bought my first DSLR and began documenting our son’s everyday milestones. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion I knew I wanted to pursue full-time.
Over the years, I dedicated myself to learning the craft and building what is now a thriving photography business. I absolutely love connecting with people and serving my community through my work. In 2023, I joined the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, which opened the door to incredible opportunities — including freelancing for Paducah Life Magazine. Becoming part of their editorial team has been a dream come true. It allows me to meet amazing local residents and tell their stories through my lens.
In the past 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of capturing a wide range of moments — from weddings, family portraits, and high school seniors to corporate headshots, branding sessions, food photography, and even pets! I genuinely enjoy the variety. One day I might be documenting a beautiful wedding, and the next, photographing a talented chef in a local high-end restaurant. The unpredictability of what each new session will bring keeps my work exciting and meaningful.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and the heart behind Wright Photography. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and capture your story!
Warmly,
Amy
