I've spent twelve years learning that the best photographs happen in the moments people forget they're being photographed. The real laugh, not the practiced one. The quiet look between two people who've just made it official. That's what I chase.
It started with my own son. I wanted his first year documented, so I picked up a camera and never really put it down. What began as a way to hold onto one small life became a career built on the same idea: get close enough, stay present enough, and people stop performing for the lens.
That's the experience I bring to every wedding I photograph now. Not a checklist of poses, but a day I actually witness alongside you, so what you're left with feels like your story and not a stranger's version of it.
Every photographer can work a camera. Not every photographer can make you forget it's there.

Wright Photography & Video has called Paducah home since 2013. My work has been featured in Paducah Life Magazine and Paducah Neighbors, and I'm a member of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce. Along the way, I've had the privilege of photographing hundreds of families, seniors, and couples across this community, and partnering with local businesses on their branding and marketing photography. It's a community I'm proud to support, both through my camera and beyond it.
